I recently went to Nashoba Valley Vineyards in Bolton, Massachusetts for a lovely Fall Sunday of apple picking. We were able to pick a sack full of apples in less than an hour. They had about 6 varieties to choose from—including Liberty, McIntosh and Fuji (the three that we focused on!)
And as much as I love fresh apples, my favorite thing about visiting an apple orchard are the Fresh Apple Cider Doughnuts! But thankfully, you don’t have to drive alllll the way to an apple orchard to get fresh apple cider doughnuts at home.
So, I developed a shortcut apple cider doughnut recipe that I shared HERE. Instead of making doughnut dough, it uses biscuit dough. Plus, we use reduced apple concentrate to get alll of that apple flavor.
